It has taken me a really long time to start blogging again..busy summer, medical issues, and honestly just life have gotten in the way of me doing something I so need as a regular part of my day. I don't do this for others but for my own personal thoughts and happenings. My memory isn't the best and what better way to journal..blogging rocks! So after some prettied up touches and learning about how to manage my blog I have offically started my journey again.
So much has happened this past year I am not sure where to begin. I lost and gained a few friends, I found out I had multiple kidney stones and recently had lithotripsy to get rid of them, my babies (Savanna and Dylan) started back to school, Rob met up with his dad for the first time since he was little, my mom came for a visit in July, we went on an awesome vacation in WA and ID, I started going to the psychiatrist and counseling for my anxiety, attended both a Beth Moore Conference and Women of Worship "God of this City" Conference that both were just out of this world, I joined the Warren Spouses Club, the PTO, and am still active in Spouses Helping Spouses and volunteer at the Thrift Shop with Chantel, Rob switched jobs from the CST to Counterdrug where he works downtown like a civilian for the Department of Criminal Investigation, and although I am sure there are plenty of other things,I'm going on.LOL
I am currently am recovering from surgery this last Wed. That isn't something I ever want to go through again! I am way to young for my body to be in that kinda shape..I have 10 months and a couple weeks until I am 30, the battle begins..I am not settling anymore, God gave me this amazing body (not meant in a sexy or crazy way) and I want it to be as healthy and tone as possible. I owe it to the Lord and myself to take care of my TEMPLE. The better I take care of myself, the better I can take care of others.
Although I could write and write today I hear my amazing hubby downstairs (who took leave to take care of me) slaving away @ dishes and laundry..I should probably go slap his butt and give him a kiss on the cheek for his efforts LOL!
Till the end,
Summer Lee

Crazy feelings....in the middle of the night!
As I blog again in the middle of the night...it's funny it is the only time I am alone with my thoughts and actually they seem clearer than during the day! I am watching the snow continue to fall and blanket the ground, we haven't had much snow here and I honestly believe my kids will actually get to use their sleds they got for Christmas tomorrow! YAY!
I am at a point where figuring out what the next step is will be key to figuring out why I have been in such a rut. I am not sure if it's Wyoming, I need to go back to work, my social environment???? I have to find out what gives. I love my children and husband very much and they do not deserve to have a wife/mother that does not have the winning attitude. So I am telling me, "Get your head out of your butt and do what needs to be done. Go get em'!" I am waiting to hear if I got an interview for a job that is sooo "me," working for the WY Military Department Veterans Commission. I know GOD has good things in store and I am ready to brave the storms that lie ahead to have...as Pastor Manness says, "the best life, rather than just the good one!" Good night, God Bless!

Weight Loss Drama
For those who don't know...I haven't always been overweight. It has been an "inner Summer" vs. "outer Summer" battle since I gave birth to Dylan in 2004. I have a "skinny girl" conscious because until kids...I WAS SKINNY! I don't see that fat girl everyone else sees...until I see a picture. I am tried of being plus size...splitting my pants (oh yeah...twice now), and just having an unbearable amount of weight (198 lbs./size 16) to lug around. I have many other friends that have this same struggle...it's like a plague that hits between 50-70% of moms. A small price to pay for the blessing we receive, but a huge price to pay on a person mentally and emotionally.
I have the pleasure of having a friend with big dreams...she is going to join the military and take care of her family. A dream of mine....until narcolepsy happened, but I admire her strength and passion to better herself. She happens to have the same mommy weight problem I have, which she must overcome to achieve her goal. I honestly was concerned about my own personal ability to handle a situation where I am watching someone obtain a goal that I am so passionate about but will never achieve. Knowing I will never again serve in the military is still a fresh wound and dagger in my heart. My friend and I began our journey last night, both with similar weight goals...and I honestly feel called by GOD to help her achieve her goal and in return I believe I will feel a sense of healing in my own situation. I am counting on GOD to help motivate me and in turn I can pass that on to her.
Bring it....I am worth taking care of me!

New Years Day 2009
I had the pleasure of spending New Years Eve with a special friend and her family. It meant a lot that they chose to spend the holiday with my family when there were other things they could have chose to do. The whole New Year's w/kids isn't always looked at as a celebration because today's society relates New Year's to bars, clubs, getting trashed, etc....in which families cannot do, nor which do I want to do. To do something as a family requires you to find a family who has a similar situation and then sneak fun in. I felt awesome last night, we ate, had good conversation, had game time on the Wii, and celebrated the New Year without being trashed....I remember everything. If last night sheds any light on the year ahead....I have lots of good times and friendship to look forward to. The journey ahead seems bright. Here's to 2009!
