New Years Day 2009

I had the pleasure of spending New Years Eve with a special friend and her family. It meant a lot that they chose to spend the holiday with my family when there were other things they could have chose to do. The whole New Year's w/kids isn't always looked at as a celebration because today's society relates New Year's to bars, clubs, getting trashed, etc....in which families cannot do, nor which do I want to do. To do something as a family requires you to find a family who has a similar situation and then sneak fun in. I felt awesome last night, we ate, had good conversation, had game time on the Wii, and celebrated the New Year without being trashed....I remember everything. If last night sheds any light on the year ahead....I have lots of good times and friendship to look forward to. The journey ahead seems bright. Here's to 2009!
